Whatcha gonna learn?
In this tutorial, Andras will guide viewers through the process of creating a still scene, using modeling, painting, and rendering features in Luxology's Modo. Andras starts with the basic layout, demonstrating how to use proxy models to populate the scene. He uses this low resolution scene to define and lock the camera position. Andras continues building his scene by modeling the final objects, along with creating UV maps and textures using Modo's paint features. Step by step, he replaces the proxy models with the final and textured objects. Next he starts lighting the scene. Andras also shows viewers how lights are used to define mood as well as how to separate foreground/background from lights using light-groups. Lastly, Andras demonstrates how to use volumetric lights and how to render separate passes which are needed to finalize the image. After watching this tutorial, the viewer understands the process of creating a scene of medium complexity using Modo. Instructor for this title: Andras Kavalecz
